PROYECTO/OYECTO: HAGAMOS CONJUNTOS: COMPAREMOS LAS CASAS

PROYECTO/OYECTO: HAGAMOS CONJUNTOS: COMPAREMOS LAS CASAS

How is this house similar to or different from the houses in your neighborhood?
OBJETIVOS
? Apply vocabulary in Spanish dealing with parts of a house.
? Compare and contrast the styles of houses in Puerto Rico and the United States (U.S.).
¡A comparar!
This project has two parts and will help you develop your use of the vocabulary dealing with a house in Spanish.

FIRST PART

1. Look at the picture above and think of all of the similarities and differences between this typical house in Puerto Rico and a typical house in the United States (U.S.). Depending on where you live, there may be more similarities or more differences.
Create a Venn diagram showing all of the similarities and differences you can think of. Do your best to put your comparison in Spanish, and use everything you know about adjectives and comparison phrases in Spanish.
SECOND PART
¡A describir!
Now that you’ve thought about houses in the U.S. and in Puerto Rico, think about your own house.
2. Second part: Use the picture and the vocabulary list at the beginning of this lesson as a guide to draw a picture of your house and label it with vocabulary in Spanish. To provide you with options, the vocabulary covers more words than necessary. You may choose to draw the front of your house, or you can focus on your favorite room or area. Just make sure you label about 15-20 items, but your teacher may give you other guidelines.
